Abuja – The United States government has actually mentioned that it has no criminal record against Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari in feedback to a claim by Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose that claimed that she was involved with a bribery scandal, Naij reports.
The US government has now seemed to finally put to rest the claims against Aisha Buhari made by Fayose that rocked the Presidency, resulting in a nasty war of words between the Buhari’s and Fayose that spilled onto social media.
Fayose alleged that the first lady had links to a bribery scandal involving US Congressman Williams Jefferson, with the Governor even going as far as distributing a link to the website of the US Department of Justice.
News24 Nigeria reported that the Presidency challenged Fayose to show proof that Aisha Buhari was indeed involved in the bribery scandal.
The alleged involvement of Aisha Buhari in a fraud scandal was further disproved as information regarding an imposter posing as her came to light, the First Lady of Nigeria’s imposter in recent years, has racked up no fewer than six criminal charges in the U.S.
Court documents as well as other physical evidence now irrefutably disproves the First Lady’s involvement in any fraud scandals, which she was accused of.
