Abuja – Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has accussed President Muhammadu Buhari of covering his men from being probed while advising him to place an end to this to encourage transparency in the Federal Government,Punch records.
Fayose also encouraged Nigerians to demand the release of the authentic report of the Committee on Audit of Defence Equipment Procurement in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
He added that the fact that FG stated that the procurement panel only looked into procurement by the military between 2011 and 2015 as prior documents were not available indicated support of corruption.
The Ekiti state Governor claimed that it is now clear that whoever is in a favourable position with Buhari will not be prosecuted for corruption in any way.
This continues the war of words between Fayose and President Buhari asNews24 Nigeria reported that Fayose previously lambasted Buhari over his alleged harassment of officials from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) through persecution issued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fayose’s rant follows on from threats made by Buhari suggesting that an investigation would be conducted into his election campaign for governorship.
