The Nigerian Notorious Drug Barron Arrested In Kenya

Police in Nairobi on Wednesday afternoon arrested a notorious Nigerian drug lord who had secretly made his way into the country.

Mr Emmanuel Peter Inobemhewho was deported from Kenya in 2013 on Presidential orders, was nabbed by police officers in Kayole Estate.

Mr Lovembe was Thursday morning handed to the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) and the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) for interrogation.

Kayole police boss Ali Nuno said the suspect had been deported twice from Kenya over drug issues and wondered how he came back to the country.

“He says he used Namanga border on both occasions and that is what we want to know how and why. He had been deported in June 2013 before he sneaked back four months later,”  said Nuno.

According to a Nation report, Lovembe was arrested alongside controversial businessmanAnthony Chinedu in 2013 for involvement in narcotics trafficking.

Under the President’s order, Lovembe, Chinedu and other Nigerians were deported for being in the country illegally. Lovembe would later sneak back into the country three months later, but was nabbed in Donholm estate with a Kenyan woman.

He revealed that he came to the country from Tanzania via the Namanga border.

It’s not clear how the suspect came back to the country and his intentions.
