Nigeria: President Buhari May Extend His 10 Day Trip To London – Report

Reports emerged Monday evening indicating that President Muhammadu Buhari may extend his 10 days visit to London, where he is due to receive treatment for an ear infection.

According to a Punch report, a persistent cough has been plaguing the Nigerian leader for longer than his ear infection as as such, must be monitored and treated.

The President, who has claimed that his alleged sickness is no big deal, is set to reside at “Abuja House” for the duration of his stay – the official residence of the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, disclosed Sahara Reporters.

The development follows on from an announcement made by Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina, revealing that the President was in need of care from an ear, nose and throat specialist.

When asked what his message to Nigerians was, the President simply claimed to have informed citizens that he will be away for 10 days to treat a persistent ear infection.

During his trip abroad, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to resume duties as the Head of State.
