President Muhammadu Buhari is reported to have fired the heads of 17 agencies within the education sector.
According to a Naij report, the Presidency on Monday announced that 17 new chief executives are set to be hired under the aegis of the Ministry of Education.
In a statement released by Deputy Director of the Ministry, Benjamin Goong, the new executives have been reported to be due to attend a meeting with Education Minister Adamu Adamu on Tuesday, August 2.
Only four heads are set to be retained by the Ministry, namely Samaila Junaidu of Nigeria Educational Research & Development Council; Raaufu Adebisi of Nigerian French Language Village Badagry; Mas’ud A. Kazaure of National Board For Technical Education; and Muhammad Mu’az of National Arabic Language Village, Maiduguri, Borno state.
