Gov Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has finally confirmed one of the allegations leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The governor, through his Special Adviser on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka took to social media to confirm the presence of the sum of N300 million in one of the Zenith Bank Plc accounts seized by the anti-graft agency.
The governor’s aide in a series of messages under the hash tag ‘Fayose Speaks’ admitted to having fixed the sum in one of the accounts.
Fayose, however, maintained that he deposited the money into his fixed deposit account before he was sworn-in as governor and had declared it in his asset declaration form.
