Nigeria: Explosion Hits NNPC Filling Station In Yola

An explosion has hit an Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Two cars were completely razed, while several people escaped death in the explosion which occurred around 8pm Thursday night.

A military officer said the incident occurred at a filling station belonging to Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, licensed marketer.

He said it took the fire fighters stationed at Faro bottling company located at wuro-jobe several hours to put it out.

The cause of the fire still remains unknown.

No life was lost in the incident.
