Nigeria: Ex- President Jonathan Finally Intervenes In PDP Crisis

An end to the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seems to be in the horizon as former President Goodluck Jonathan has decided to wade in, reports New Telegraph.

He promised more commitment to get the warring factions in the party to resolve their differences.

Jonathan made the promise on Wednesday in Abuja when he hosted members of PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) led by its Chairman, Senator Walid Jirbin

News 24 had reported that some PDP leaders were angry with Jonathan over his silence on the crisis.

The leaders believe that if Jonathan had intervene, the situation would have been different.

Jonathan told members of the BoT that though he had talked to members of the party, he would do more to end the crisis.

‎This was the first time the former President would be speaking on the state of the PDP since he left office on May 29 last year.
