Minister of State for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has opened up on the bribe-for-ministerial post scandal.
Lokpobiri dismissed as untrue, claims by a faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State that he bought the ministerial slot for the state,
He said he did not pay for the position he currently occupies in the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Lokpobiri declared that he did not pay Timipre Sylva, former governor of Bayelsa State and candidate of the All Progressives Council (APC) in last December’s governorship poll to be a minister.
The suspended Chairman of the Bayelsa chapter of the APC, Tiwei Orunimighe, had called for the resignation of Lokpobiri, claiming that he bought the ministerial position from Sylva.
