A Windhoek family has been torn apart following the gruesome murder of a relative over N$50, allegedly at the hands of his girlfriend.
According to The Namibian, the deceased, identified as Mubu Starllen Maloboka, died on the spot after his live-in girlfriend allegedly stabbed him to death in front of their 6-year-old daughter.
The couple, said to have been dating for 12 years, were alleged to have argued over the small change from N$50 before the incident took place.
The woman was reported to have told their neighbours of her boyfriend’s death shortly after he was killed.
“The whole incident shocked us. I do not feel good at all. He was ever-smiling. If he was sick, then one would understand. It all happened too fast,” said the deceased’s brother, Patrick.
The woman is set to appear in court on Monday.
