Nakuru S*x Workers Want A Date With President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Commercial sex workers in Nakuru town are pleading with President Uhuru Kenyatta to give them audience when he visits the town today for the Madaraka day celebrations.

The sex workers say that they want to meet the President to convince him to legalise their trade.

Speaking Tuesday in Nakuru town, the Nakuru commercial sex workers union chairlady Daisy Akinyi said that they want to talk to the head of state and tell him the miseries they go through in the course of their trade.

“We really want to meet the President and ask him to legalise sex work in Kenya because just like any other trade, sex work can contribute to the growth of the economy,” said Akinyi.

“As sex workers, we want to meet him one on one and tell him our problems,” she said.

“We will also ask him to ask the police to stop harrasing and assaulting sex workers in this town,” said Akinyi.

Akinyi added that they have a written memorandum they want to present to him.

President Kenyatta is in Nakuru to lead the nation in celebrating this year’s Madaraka day at Afraha stadium.
