More than 10 houses were set alight on Friday during violent clashes between Maasai and Kalenjin communities leaving one dead and several injured.

According to the Daily Nation people also used machetes and arrows against one another.

Police were also unable access a mutilated body because they were told to return 600 sheep and goats that were taken away from Pastoralists.

Meanwhile early Friday morning an elderly woman was almost burnt alive after a fire ravaged houses in Ngangarithi causing hundreds to be left homeless.
