Stephen Karisa Mkare and his two children were attacked on Friday by the mob that torched their house and granary, leaving them with serious injuries.
The attackers accused him of bewitching two of his relatives, Standard reports, including his own son who died in 2009 in an accident.
It took the intervention of police to disperse the charged crowd.
Attacks on elderly people in Kilifi on suspicion of witchcraft have been on the rise, The Starreports, amid calls for the youth to protect the elderly.
Reports indicate that in 2014, over 104 elderly people were killed over witchcraft allegations.
