Masinde Muliro University Closed After Students Boycott Exams

Masinde Muliro University has been shut down following students’ unrest.

The students started demonstrating on Friday, protesting a decision by the administration to block those with fees arrears from sitting end-of-semester exams thus paralyzing activities.

The students also boycotted exams which according to Standard were set to start last week but were postponed to April 14 to allow students to clear pending arrears.

The students were ordered to vacate the university premises by 11.00 am today, The Star reports.
