Man Loses Arm For Wearing President Museveni’s T-Shirt.

A man has lost his arm for wearing a T-shirt with President Yoweri Museveni’s portrait.

John Kabaya, a resident of Kasaga village in central Uganda district of Mukono was admitted after his left arm was chopped off by opposition youths using a machete.

According to Kabaya who was speaking from hospital bed in terrible pain, his hand was chopped off while leaving a drinking den in the village.

He said he got the T-shirts during last presidential campaigns. The ruling party gave out many such yellow T-shirts to its supporters.

”Some young men warned me that if I am not careful, I would lose my life for wearing Museveni’s T-shirt. I told them to go and hang because Museveni won the elections,” said Kabaya.

But as he was returning to his home at around 7.00 pm, the youths waylaid him and cut off his left arm.

He wailed in pain and was rescued by well wishers who rushed him to hospital where the arm was amputated.

The village chief, Henry Kayizzi has promised to arrest those responsible and charge them in courts of law.

In Kampala and other areas where opposition has more support than the ruling party, opposition youth take every opportunity to manhandle supporters of the ruing party which they consider an enemy.
