Kenya’s Government Issues Directive to Shut Down Bars During Election Week

The general elections in Kenya is scheduled to hold on the 8th august this 2017. Voters are expected to go to their nearest poling units to elect their president his deputy, members of parliament (Senate and National Assembly) and county governors and ward representatives.

In a bid to get the maximum turnout on election day and ensure that all electorate are of sound mind when casting their votes, the government of Kenya has issued a directive that ensures that all bars are shut down during the election week.
