Kenyan Mix Masters Entertainment CEO George Waweru alias DJ Kalonje has speaks on claims that his relationship with fiancée Sonnie Kangai as hit the rock.
“What is dis I dey hear….. oya I was talking about my phone. I got an upgrade yawa. @sonniekangai babe hizi ni gani,” wrote Kalonje.
This follows a New Year’s message which was misconstrued by some quarters that he was calling it quits.
“I Just had one important priority in our relationship-You. The problem was that we both had the same priority. All I can say is the seven years was worth it. Wish you good luck in all your endeavors. May you find happiness,” he posted.
The DJ who made a name for himself with mixtapes that took the matatu industry by storm around 2006, proposed to Sonnie in 2017.
He took the hu,ge step in his life at an exquisite spot in a club in Dubai.
That same year, however, he was summarily evicted and his multimillion studio at First Avenue in Eastleigh reduced to rubble by goons.
“Well… this is what has remained of the studio. Without notice we, were asked to remove our property under extremely harassing and threatening circumstances.
“Accompanied by goons armed with pangas and heavy wrenches…shoving my dad severally destroying our property looting my machines Dj Decks, PlayStations studio equipment and stock…Kenya ina wenyewe kweli. Justice ni ya Wenye pesa??” Posed Kalonje.
He later partnered with DJ Carlos to open a new studio in Pangani.
