Kenyan Citizen Tv Host, Willis Raburu Sends Emotional Message to Joey Muthengi

Citizen Tv host Willis Raburu has penned a moving message to his co-host Joey Muthengi as she leaves Citizen TV.

Raburu who together with Joey Muthengi hosted Citizen Tv’s Day Break and 10 over 10 was full of praise for the sassy TV presenter with a narration of a ‘unique chemistry’ they had at work.

“What a ride it has been. You inspire me with your passion and meticulous planning, your organization and your amazing spirit. Most people don’t even understand our chemistry or how hard it is to find in this industry,” he posted on social media.

Raburu thanked her for standing with him during hard times in the course of their work praising her ability to cope with his craziness.

“Outside of it, you are my friend. Never judging, always protecting and simply put, you get me. Thanks for coping with the noise and for standing with me always in good times and bad,” he remarked.

Muthengi on her side narrated how she was moved by the fact that she was leaving, saying it hadn’t sunk in yet but nevertheless thanked her fans for their support.

“Tonight I laughed, cried, danced…sometimes at the same damn time. Thanks for tuning in to my final 10/10 show. Still hasn’t sunk in yet. So many emotions. Like who cries on national TV??…,” she posted on her social media page.

“I’m so thankful for the opportunity. Looking forward to the future. Trusting that the God I serve got there way before me and is now preparing my path to the next chapter,” she added.

Muthengi’s success in the media industry started off with a stint at Capital FM from 2009-2013 where she hosted and produced ‘Hits Not Homework’ program popular with youth.

From early 2016, she worked in Citizen Tv in the programme Power Breakfast show with Fred Indimuli and Wilis Raburu.

She is the brand ambassador of Betin with Kenyan football star Mc Donald Mariga.
