Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett has reshuffled a number of top police officers in a move to stem insecurity in the country.
Eusebius Laibuta of the Administration Police has also been deployed to Emali AP College as officer in-charge while Former Kajiado County Police Commander Tito Kilonzi has been posted to Mombasa as Police commander. Kilonzi replaces Robert Kitur, who has been promoted to Regional Coordinator, Coast region.
Nyeri police boss Shariff Abdalla has been posted to Elgeyo Marakwet as county commander while the former head of Dadaab refugee camp, Kalicha Roba has been sent to Embu to take over the region.
Nairobi Deputy County Commander Joseph Limo has been transferred to Kisumu to serve as commander, where he has been replaced by Nelson Njiiri.
Njiiri heads to Kajiado where he will replace Mombasa bound Kilonzi.
” The changes are informed to try improve the state of security in the country,” deputy Inspector General of Police Grace Kaindi said.
