Kenya: Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko Certain He Will Be Nairobi Governor In 2017

Nairobi – Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko is certain he will be the main man in Nairobi come the 2017 General Elections.

Sonko is expected by many to be the key challenger to Governor Evans Kidero come the 2017 polls and a recent poll shows that it is indeed the case.

According to the poll results, Sonko and Kidero are at the moment head to head whilst miles away from the nearest challengers.

Sonko though, only sees it one way.

” I do not get into a race I cant win and that is the case in 2017,” he said.

The Senator feels that he can be a better leader and affect the lives of many more youth whilst he is Governor and not Senator.

” As Senator I can only do so much. As Governor it is a different case,” he added.

Kidero though will not be an easy nut to crack at the Senator knows it.

” It will be a tight race for everyone. The truth is that we have to be ready as a team,” he added.

Sonko will have to beat the likes of former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru in Jubilee Coalition primaries before he has a chance at cracking Kidero.

Former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru as well as current Dagoretti North MP Dennis Waweru and also nominated MP Johnstone Sakaja are also thought to be in the race.
