Raila Odinga will contest the 2022 elections, an ODM MP has said.
Oburu Odinga who is the brother to the CORD leader and a nominated MP, says that Raila is still young enough and motivated to contest multiple elections.
He gave the example of a number of world leaders who have contested elections when older than the former Prime Minister.
” Raila will run in 2022 if he likes. He is old enough and popular enough to do so,” he said.
He added that the CORD leader was the undisputed candidate for the coalition in the 2017 elections, saying others had yet to show that they can win elections on their own.
” No one has shown that they can do better than Raila. Until the prove so, Raila will be the main man,” he added.
There is contention over who will represent CORD in the 2017 elections, with fellow CORD principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula all gunning for the spot.
