President Uhuru Kenyatta and CORD Co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka have held talks.
The two leaders spoke during the week over the visit by the President to Ukambani, which is Kalonzo’s stronghold and agreed to tour together and launch a number of development projects.
It is not yet clear if the talks were of any political nature.
” The President and the former VP agreed to tour together to build unity among the people of the region,” a State House source told News24.
The President will tour the region Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
During his tour, it is not yet clear whether he will speak openly about the IEBC protests that are due to continue again Monday and Thursday next week.
Despite forming a Committee to deal with the matter at hand, the President has been snubbed by the CORD Coalition which has a number of demands it has tabled to counter the call for dialogue.
