Kenya Power Contractor In Court For Stealing

A contractor and his two agents have been arraigned before a Narok court charged with stealing electricity conductors worth Shs.700,000 belonging to the Kenya Power company Limited.

Robert Bett and his two servants namely Patrick Cheruiyot and Samuel King`ori appeared before Narok Chief Magistrate Wilbroda Juma,

The charge sheet indicated that they stole five drums of electricity conductor wires worth Shs.700,000, belonging to the Kenya Power company Limited through its agent Douglas Wasilwa.

They denied committing the offense which they allegedly committed on March 23, this year at Imara Daima Boarding Primary School in Narok South.

The court released them on a bond of Shs.150, 000 each with sureties of similar amounts.

Bett had been contracted to put up the equipment to supply electricity to the school, when he allegedly stole the cables.
