Kenya: Jalang’o Quits Hot 96 With Emotional Posts

Entertainer and radio show host, Felix Odiwour, prevalently known as Jalang’o, has thrown in the towel at Hot 96 radio station.

In a progression of Instagram posts, the commended humorist declared that he has left the station, yet missed the mark regarding expressing why and where he is making a beeline for.

“Last Friday was my last day at @hot96fmkenya I should state it’s been a ride and a half… multi year 4 astounding a very long time of diligent work and conveyance,” Jalang’o composed.

The comedian also paid glowing tribute to his bosses at the radio station, with special mention to veteran broadcasters Fred Afune and Waruru Wachira.

“I want to take this special opportunity to thank The entire Family of Royal media especially The hot 96 Team. Very special mention to Fred Afune who believed in me and assured me that this will work even when no one believed,” he wrote.

He also had very nice words for his co-host in the station’s breakfast show, award-winning journalist Jeff Koinange.

Last Friday was my last day at @hot96fmkenya I must say it’s been a ride and a half… 1 year 4 amazing months of hard work and delivery. I want to take this special opportunity to thank The entire Family of Royal media especially The hot 96 Team. Very special mention to Fred Afune who believed in me and assured me that this will work even when no one believed! You gave me an opportunity of a life time and see what we created in just 1 year and 4 months… a monster show. Up until his last Friday, Jalang’o, alongside Jeff, hosted the station’s immensely popularly breakfast show, The Hot Breakfast.

In yet another lengthy post, he also thanked the producer whom he worked under during his eventful tenure at the radio station.

“You know how you wake up and find someone soo amazing @cynthia_mwangi As your boss! Yes that’s what happened exactly 1 year 4 months ago! Yaani this lady is the most amazing… understanding person you can ever meet!” Jalang’o wrote.

Jalango then ended the post by saying how regretful he is that he would not be working with her anymore.

Already his co-host Jeff Koinange has shared a poster that only captures him as the only host for the breakfast show at Hot 96 with a new hashtag #JeffInTheMorning from the old one #JeffandJalasInTheMorning.
