Kenya: Forgotten Ex- Minister Of Information Rapheal Tuju Returns To Government

In a move that is centred on buying Political goodwill ahead of the 2017 elections, former Information Minister Raphael Tuju is back in government.

Tuju will chair the Lake Basin Development Authority in a move rubber-stamped via a Gazette Notice Friday.

The anti- Raila Odinga Tuju makes a return after years in the dark plagued by a number of personal matters including a separation from his wife as well as the death of her supposed lover.

He will offer resistance in Luo Nyanza to Raila, a move that will be seen as disruptive as well as a masterstroke by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Tuju has also been spotted around the President recently so his appointment is not a surprise.

” I am proud to be handed the opportunity to serve Kenyans once again,” he told News24.

Tuju will serve on a three year term.
