Kenya: DP Ruto’s Son To Vie For MP’s Seat In 2017 Elections

Deputy President William Ruto son has hinted on vying for Turbo Constituency parliamentary seat.

According to Nick Ruto he has been under pressure from Turbo residents to run for the parliamentary seat.

” I have not yet decided whether to run for this seat or not but soon I will come out clearly and make my intentions known,” he said.

Speaking to the press in Kaptarakwa, Ruto said, he will soon make a decision on the matter when the right time comes.

“ I have received demands from Turbo residents to contest for the parliamentary seat and I want to assure them that I will make that decision soon,” he said.

This comes after there has been much speculation that Deputy president William Ruto was grooming his son for him to follow in his footsteps since he has accompanied his father to political events and private functions.

The Turbo Constituency parliamentary seat has attracted a number of political heavy weights including the including the incumbent MP Elisha Busienei, Isaac Maiyo, businessman Kevin Okwara, Governor Jackson Mandago’s political advisor Janet Rotich among others.
