Deputy President William Ruto has likened the opposition protests against the electoral body to what Al-Shabaab is doing.
The Deputy President who spoke during a live TV show Tuesday said what the weekly demonstrations led by CORD Chief Raila Odinga is doing to the country is the same with what the dreaded terror activities has done to Kenya.
“What we are doing to the country today in these street engagements is not different with what the Al- Shabaab is doing to us,” said Ruto.”
“What the Al-Shabaab want is to instill fear in Kenyans, they want to sabotage our, they want to create an impression that the country is unsafe and you cannot do business. CORD is doing exactly the same thing with their weekly street battles,” he explained
