8 University students perished in a road accident while heading to a party in Kisii.
The students died in the accident along the Kisii- Kilgoris road after their driver, who was trying to overtake another vehicle rammed head on into a lorry.
6 students died on the spot while two others were confirmed dead on arrival in hospital.
Three others were rushed to the Kisii Level Six hospital in critical condition.
Hospital CEO Dr. Enoch Ondari confirmed that the three had been admitted, with two in critical condition .
“Three people have been admitted. Of the three, one has has pelvic injuries while the others have head injuries. They were the only survivors from the accident,” Dr Ondari told News24 on phone.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the same facility.
