Kenya: 2 University Students ‘Charged With Hacking Bank’

Two university students in Kenya have been charged with hacking into a local bank and stealing millions, Daily Nation newspaper reports.

The students at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, located on the outskirts of the capital, Nairobi, are accused of stealing about 24 million Kenyan shillings ($220,000; £169,000) and attempting to move an additional 190 million Kenyan shillings from NCBA bank.

The alleged offences were committed last month.

Antony Mwangi Ngige, 23, and Ann Wambui Nyoike, 21, denied the charges.
