Kieni MP, Kanini Kega has called upon diplomats to keep off internal matters of the country.
Kega said it was unfortunate that some diplomats were taking sides with opposition CORD in the IEBC issue.
Kega who was speaking at Kiawara in his Kieni constituency on Monday said that Kenya has not been interfering with matters of other countries and so the envoys should follow suit.
He at the same time called upon the opposition to commit themselves in dialogue to solve the IEBC impasse, adding that Jubilee will not allow the life of parliament to be extended from August next year.
“We have a constitution that cannot allow raiding of institutions. The sharing of power which the CORD is pushing for indirectly is impossible since we have our own constitution. We know CORD is looking for other matters like sharing of power, not just IEBC reconstitution. This cannot be possible,” he added.
The MP added that CORD should be forced to pay for properties destroyed during their regular protests adding that the Jubilee MPs have agreed to purchase a new vehicle for the lady whose minibus was torched last week.
Recently, 11 Western diplomats told Kenyans that they must dialogue and build confidence in IEBC ahead of the 2017 general election.
The diplomats said that the reforms Cord is pushing for must be in respect of the constitution and relevant laws.
