Jubilee Will Win Next Election With Or Without IEBC, Ruto Tells Raila

Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed the opposition campaign to kick out commissioners of the country’s electoral body.

The Deputy President termed Coalitio sfor Reforms and Democracy  (Cord ) drive to disband the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission as an exercise in futility.

Ruto said his Jubilee coalition party will win the next elections without a sweat even when the current IEBC officials are out office.

“As Jubilee we don’t need IEBC to win elections. We don’t need the IEBC to win the next polls but the votes of Kenyans which we know they will give us, “he said.

“IEBC doesn’t vote. Raila and his brigade should focus their energies on how to defeat us and not the election body, ” he added.

The Deputy President made the remarks at a service at Mary Queen of Apostles Church in Dagoreti South Constituency.

Present at the meeting were Senator’s Mike Sonko(Nairobi ) Kipchumba Murkomen(Elgeyo Marakwet) and MPs Dennis Waweru of Dagoreti South among others.
