Jubilee Will Retain Power With Or Without New Voters, Says MP

A Jubilee member of Parliament has said that they are not bothered by the low voter turn out in their strongholds.

Molo Mp, Jacob Macharia said that Jubilee will still enjoy the tyranny of numbers in the 2017 polls, with or without new voters.

Macharia said that the coalition is not bothered by the few number of people who have been turning up to register in their strongholds because they are still confident of retaining power.

Speaking Tuesday in Nakuru town, Macharia said that the same people who voted for Jubilee in 2013 are the same ones who will give them power in 2017.

“As Jubilee, we cannot be moved by the voter registration apathy in our strongholds because we believe that we have the numbers needed to retain power and that is a fact,” said Macharia.

The Mp added that the people who should be worried about low voter registration are their rivals in CORD because they don’t have numbers.

“People in CORD are the ones who should be worried because the low voter registration directly affects them and not us,” he said.
