Is The Feud Over Between Top South African Rivals,Cassper And AKA?

One of South African entertainment’s longest-running feuds appears to be dying down, as Cassper Nyovest and AKA show signs of mellowing towards each other by seeming to enjoy each other’s music
Cassper Nyovest has refused to ever work or collaborate with AKA at any cost; while AKA can’t even say Cassper’s name, referring to him as “the other guy”.

It’s a beef that has rumbled on for the past six years and just when we thought it would never end, there seemed to be a suggestion that the ice between the two entertainers might be thawing.

It began last weekend when Cassper was spotted dancing to AKA’s smash hit, Jika, a song which usually inspires people to break into a coordinated rendition of the famous iBhasi dance move.

Cassper, who loves to bust a move himself, would have been the odd one out if he didn’t participate while the rest of the room jived to AKA’s hit but he didn’t seem too bothered that the song belonged to his nemesis.

When AKA caught wind of the fact that Cassper was dancing to his song, after a follower quizzed him on it, Supa Mega was admittedly “cool” with the gesture.

However, the story didn’t end there.

AKA went one step further, and surprised fans, followers and haters alike by actually singing-rapping along to a Cassper Nyovest verse.
We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw Kiernan mouthing the lyrics of Cassper’s verse on Nadia Nakai’s Naa Mean; before he hastily told onlookers to put their phones down and stop recording him.

Could this mean that the beef between these two has finally been settled, or, perhaps, were these two secretly fans of each other’s music all along?

The truth will be revealed in the coming weeks, although we wouldn’t be surprised to see them at each other’s throats again before long.

What do you think, could Cassper and AKA’s intense rivalry be mellowing?
