Interior PS Sacks Five Chiefs, Undresses Them In Public

Interior and Coordination of National Government Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho has sacked five chiefs in Kirinyaga County.

Kibicho went ahead and asked them to return their official regalia and working tools to the County Commissioner immediately.

“I want my regalia back. You have been unable to work to the expectations of the people,” Kibicho told them in a meeting held at Kerugoya town.

The five chiefs, who were sitting with other senior government officials in the dais, lost their jobs as some members of the public appreciated and applauded the move.

He said the chiefs were sacked for failing to eradicate illicit brews in their areas of administration.

Kibicho noted that he would not relent on war against illicit brews which he said have killed more than 30,000 people in the Central region.
