IEBC has confirmed that voter registration is still going on in the constituencies.
There has been concerns that the electoral body was only conducting voter registration in a few specified regions and segregating others.
Cord leader Raila Odinga has repeatedly accused IEBC of registering voters in Jubilee strongholds long after the exercise was closed, giving them undue advantage over the opposition.
Recently, ODM Chair John Mbadi accused Jubilee of colluding with the National Registration Bureau, Interior Ministry, IEBC and Huduma centres of employing the policy of segregation in the registration of voters.
The government has however refuted these claims and said IEBC offices were open countrywide for voter registration.
IEBC has urged Kenyans to visit their constituencies and register ahead of the 2017 general election.
“Don’t wait for next year!#ContinuousVoterRegistration is still ongoing at the constituency level. Please let us know if we can direct you,” they said via Twitter.
