The Plug, a Nigerian entertainment business, has signed Ghanaian musician King Promise as its latest signee.
The talent management firm announced on Wednesday that they have now become King Promise’s Nigerian and global management partner.
According to the management organization, they are dedicated to “nurturing his artistic journey and supporting his career growth.”
According to The Plug, King Promise will have access to “strategic career planning, commercial position, financial planning, and media management.”
“The Plug will take on the role of King Promise’s Nigerian and Global management partner, with a commitment to nurturing his artistic journey and supporting his career growth,” the statement reads.
“Under The Plug’s management, King Promise will receive strategic career planning, commercial position, financial planning, media management, and benefit from The Plug’s unrivalled access to a wide network of industry professionals.
“Furthermore, The Plug’s team of experts will work closely with King Promise to ensure that his music reaches a broader international audience while staying true to his unique sound and artistic vision”.

Born Gregory Bortey Newman, King Promise is known for his blend of Afrobeats, highlife, and R&B influences.
The Plug was founded by Asa Asika and Bizzle Osikoya in August 2016.
In 2022, the company merged with TopBoy Entertainment, the brainchild of Tobi Mohammed.
The business has since scaled to also include music publishing, sports management and production arms.
They have worked with prominent figures such as Davido, Henry Onyekuru, Asisat Oshoala, CKay, Victony, Tobi Amusan, King Promise, BOJ, Bella Shmurda, Focalistic, MazexMxtreme, Raebel, ShineTTW, and Uchenna Kanu.
