Barely days after returning from the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) where they placed fourth, Ghana’s Black Stars are without a coach following the resignation of Israeli Avram Grant.
In his last statement, the administrator said he had inform the Ghana Football Association (GFA) cheif that it was time for him to proceed onward to another new challenge regardless of having enormously enjoy most of his time with the group. he had barely twenty days left on his agreement with the football affiliation

Grant was handed a 2-year-deal by the Ghana football association in November 2014. He led Ghana to the AFCON in Equatorial Guniea where they were losing finalists beaten by Ivory Coast on penalties.
He has formerly coached local Israeli sides and the national team. At the European club level, he managed Chelsea, Portsmouth and West Ham United between 2007 – 2011.
A close friend of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, he took the Chelsea job after Mourinho was fired in 2007. He famously led them to the 2008 Champions league final but lost to Manchester United on penalties in Russia’s Luzhniki stadium.
