Former Governor Of Lagos State Tinubu Opens Up On Rift With President Buhari

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu has again denied any rift between him and President Muhammadu Buhari, reports NewsDay.

Tinubu also dismissed rumours that he publicly condemned the policies and performance of President Buhari.

Tinubu in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunday Dare on Tuesday, said a comment alleged to have been made by him denouncing Buhari’s policies and performance, was far from the truth.

Tinubu’s reaction came after Sam Omatseye who had always represented him in most public presentations, as well as, written in his defense in major topical issues, blasted Buhari and also berated the President for the myriad of problems confronting the nation in his piece titled, “When the bells ring twice.

Omatseye is the chairman of the editorial board of The Nation newspapers, which is owned by Tinubu

Tinubu, according to The Herald , said Omatseye, who, is a journalist of repute and a powerful and independent mind, needs no prodding before he writes.

The former governor said the ongoing charade on the social media was to attribute falsely to him a piece he did not write, describing it as absolute nonsense.
