The Presidency has according to reports trained 80 prosecutors, divided into 20 teams with the sole intention of effectively prosecuting Senate President, Bukola Saraki of corruption charges, Naij reports.
The unnamed prosecutors were trained by the presidential advisory committee against corruption headed by Professor Itse-Sagay for a duration of one month.
All prosecutors were recently assigned the forgery case that was recently brought against Saraki and three others including his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
According to reports the team of prosecutors will now take charge of the forgery case against Saraki when it resumes this coming Monday, with the team given the liberty by the Attorney-General of the Federation, to successfully prosecute the accused.
News24 Nigeria reported that the Kwara state chapter of the All Progressives Party(APC) reignited the war of words against the President Muhammadu Buhari administration by reechoing Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s views that there is a “government within a government”.
