The FBI is now reviewing why of all 16 criminal charges against Jussie Smollett, were dropped, according to reports.
Two law enforcement officials are said to have confirmed the probe on the same day that recused Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, center, broke her silence to defend her office’s decision to drop the charges against the actor.
She recused herself from case because she exchanged texts with Smollett’s family member after the incident.
But the mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel, said that prosecutors’ decision to drop all the charges against Smollett made ‘fools of all of us’ as he demanded answers.
There is still no explanation for why brothers Abel and Ola Osundairo, attacked Smollett, who they were friends with and trained with at the gym, if he did not ask them to.
