A Lagos father has been arrested after he allegedly killed his wife over a money ritual, Punch reported.
The man had been gone for two weeks and upon his arrival his wife prepared food for him. He suspected to be poisoned and was seen licking a black substance straight after consuming the food.
He slit his wife’s throat in the early hours of the morning and was seen by one of his son.
Police have transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
Incidents such as these are known to be common in Lagos as in another incident, an alleged ritualist was arrested by police after he was nabbed by the community wandering in the streets pretending to be mentally deranged according to DailyPost.
