Election Funding, Governor Fayose Challenges Zenith Bank To Provide Official Statement

Governor Ayodele Fayose has stuck by his claims that Zenith Bank majorly funded his election and has challenged the bank to come out with an official statement after sources within the bank denied his claims, Naij reports.

Sources within Zenith Bank News24 Nigeria reported, denied that they funded any campaign and said that it just handled money from the office of the National Security Advisor.

The Governor stated that he would like an official statement from the bank so that he could initiate the second stage of his revelations, condemning the bank and the media for acting on hearsay.

Fayose philosophically quoted a bible verse when speaking on his accusers saying that those without sin should cast the first stone.

News24 Nigeria reported that he faces an uphill battle in his political war against President Muhammadu Buhari with his personal bank accounts frozen and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission bearing down on him.
