Abuja – A former Special Adviser to ex- President Goodluck Jonathan, Abbah Dabo has returned the N25m he received from the embattled National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) , reports Daily Post
Dabo, a former Special Adviser to Jonathan in the office of the former Vice President, Namadi Sambo disclosed this on Wednesday during the ongoing trial of Metuh.
Dabo in his testimony told the court how the embattled PDP spokesman gave him the sum of N25m five days after the Presidential nomination Convention.
Dabo, the eighth witness in the case against Metuh, said he was given N25 million to fight criticism in the traditional and in the social media against Jonathan.
He said he decided to return the money when he discovered that it was sourced from the arms fund, allegedly diverted by former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
