A controversial Nairobi businessman, Jacob Juma is dead.
Juma was shot dead Thursday night by unknown gunmen who were on a motorcycle near Lenana School as he drove towards his home in Karen.
Confirming the incident, Nairobi Criminal Investigations Department (CID) boss Ireri Kamwende said the businessman was gunned down at around 9:30pm.
She explained that the thugs escaped on the motorcycle after spraying the businessman’s car with over 10 bullets.
The thugs did not steal anything from Juma, a bitter critic of the Jubilee government and close ally of Cord leader Raila Odinga.
His death is likely to raise concerns that it was politically motivated if his controversial posts on Facebook and Twitter bashing president Uhuru Kenyatta’s government are anything to go by
