Police in Kirinyaga County have launched investigations into the brutal killing of a businesswoman and her employee.
The two were found dead at Ciagiini village in Mwea sub-county with deep cuts in their bodies.
Area OCPD, Titus Yoma said the woman’s badly mutilated body was found near her residential house in the village.
He said the body of her employee was later found floating in a rice canal where it had been dumped by unknown people.
He said detectives have already arrested a relative of the businesswoman for interrogations as investigations continue.
Yoma said they are treating the case as murder.
“We have started investigations into the matter and we shall not rest until the killers are identified, arrested and prosecuted,” he said.
The bodies were taken to Mwea Mission Hospital mortuary.
