At 12, This U.S.-based Ghanaian Nicholas Buamah Unveiled Line of School Supplies to Fund His Own TV Show

Meet Nicholas Buamah, a 12-year-old boy. He is a Metro Atlanta philanthropist and successful author. He has created a line of branded school supplies based on his popular book characters, Kayla and Kyle The Walking Dictionaries, according to Black News. The action would help fund his family-friendly TV show “Nick’s House” and provide healthcare insurance to 5,000 Ghanaian children.

Daily and weekly journals, coloring books, and composition notebooks are among the resources available, with some integrating Augmented Reality. His items are currently available on Amazon, and he is also working on a Christmas collection of activity books and coloring books using his popular book characters Kayla and Kyle.

Buamah is the founder of Books Without Borders Inc., a non-profit organization. The Ghanaian-American has also collaborated with Ghana’s National Health Insurance Scheme to provide healthcare insurance to over 3,500 children. He intends to expand the insurance offer to cover 5,000 Ghanaian children by the end of the year.

The 12-year-old motivational speaker has also launched a GoFundMe effort to seek funding for his TV show. Last year, Newsofafrica claimed that Buamah hosted an exclusive red carpet premiere for his “Nick’s House” TV show in Atlanta in front of a sold-out audience. During the event, the Mayor of Stonecrest Georgia presented Buamah with a proclamation and declared July 21, 2022, Nicholas Buamah Day in Stonecrest, according to the article.

Nick’s House is also rumored to be helmed by award-winning Hollywood producer LaMont Ferrell, who has worked on notable shows such as Girlfriend’s, The Office, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and Moesha.

Buamah had gone viral four years prior to his TV appearance for publishing a book at the age of seven. There aren’t many seven-year-olds who write novels, let alone have them included to the Library of Congress’s collection, but Buamah did so in 2018 with his book, Kayla & Kyle. Election Day, according to the Walking Dictionaries. Kayla and Kyle, twins fighting to be their school’s next class leader, are introduced in Buamah’s book.

Before voting, they must first hold a class debate to establish that they are capable candidates. This was the first in a series of books designed to help elementary students improve their vocabulary. The Georgia talent stated at the time that, while he aspired to be a mechanical engineer in the future, he did not underestimate the importance of words and communication in his career.
