Midfielder Gilberto is back to work with his Benfica de Luanda football team, after 20 days away due to illness Angop learned Tuesday here. The information was released by Benfica de Luanda?s deputy chairman , Mário da Rocha.
According to the source, the player is already back to work with the other members of the team. Gilberto suffered a head injury in a collision with an opponent during a 2-1 win match of his team over also Luanda-based Progresso do Sambizanga. Apart from serving the national football team on various occasions, Gilberto has served Angola’s first division Petro de Luanda (winner of the 2000 and 2001 Girabolas), Al-Ahly of Egypt, AEL Limassol of Cyprus and Lierse of Belgium. He then came back home in 2013 to join Petro Atlético de Luanda he served until 2014.
