The National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse has reported that more than 30 000 lives in the last five years have been died due to alcohol abuse.
According to Daily Nation alcohol abuse is prevalent in young people.

He was caught sleeping on the floor inebriated which led to his own demise, this is in light of the fact that the police have been embarking on a nationwide crackdown on illicit brew and this officers actions caused grave embarrassment to the force.
His sacking was to send out a stern message against illegal activity regardless of your rank.
