Comedian Lil Rel Proposes To Fiancé at Beyonce Concert

Actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery proposed to his girlfriend Dannella Lane at Beyoncé’s star-studded show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

According to People, 43-year-old Lil Rel caught the heartwarming event in an Instagram montage video. Lil Rel starts the video by taking the engagement diamond out of its box and kissing it while driving to the ceremony. Lil Rel and Lane are later seen in the video having a good time at Beyonce’s concert. Beyoncé and Lane appear on the jumbo screen shortly after, and Lane turns her head to see Lil Rel down on one knee. After the unexpected proposal, she hugs and kisses him.

He captioned it: “SHE SAID YES!!!! What a story lol. Thanks @mstinaknowles and Jay for helping make this special moment happen. Tonight @beyonce put on an amazing B Day show thanks for letting have a little time on your show lol to make @dannellalane my fiancée… Love On Top!!! #LoveIsInTheAir #TheProposal.”

Lil Rel has two children from his previous marriage to Verina Robinson, to whom he was married for six years before they got divorced. He also has a child with LeChez Davis. The bride-to-be, Lane, who also has four children from her previous marriage to her ex-husband, shared her pleasure on social media.

“OMG OMG OMG!!! Wait let me pinch myself! Yep it’s real OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY I SAID YES to the man of my dreams, my sweetface, my answered prayer! @comedianlilrel babe you put our love on TOP!!! On the car ride home I said ‘what am I going to do with you’ and you replied ‘we have the rest of our lives to figure it out’ OMG OMG,” she wrote in the caption.

She praised Tina Knowles, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z for assisting her fiancé in pulling off the surprise. Beyoncé celebrated her 42nd birthday on the same day as the show. Adele, Zendaya, Tom Holland, the Kardashian-Jenners, Katy Perry, Lizzo, Vanessa Bryant, Chris Rock, Kate Hudson, and Kelly Rowland were among those who attended to honor the music superstar, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Fans startled Beyoncé by hoisting up yellow and black balloons to wish her a happy birthday. Diana Ross led the audience in singing “Happy Birthday” to Beyoncé, and Kendrick Lamar stunned everyone by delivering a remix of his song “America Has a Problem.”
