Kid Cudi attended the 2021 CFDA Awards looking like a bride.
The rapper looked like he was ready to walk down the aisle on Wednesday night, Nov. 10, as he arrived the event in a white lace ensemble designed by CFDA’s American Emerging Designer of the Year nominee, Eli Russell Linnetz.
“I just out of the blue sent him a text of a wedding dress and I was like, ‘Will you be my bride?'” Linnetz, who designs for his label ERL, told PEOPLE.
“I trust this man so I was down to take it wherever his mind went,” Cudi told PEOPLE.
He accessorized the look with a meaningful pendant necklace.
“This is the Black Jesus — deep, dark chocolate brown,” Cudi added.
Fans were unsure what message he’s trying to send; whether he’s the bride of Christ of he’s aligning with the LGBTQ community.
The last time Kid Cudi wore a dress it became a trending topic. Wearing a dress again last night has raised brows.
Some people have taken to Twitter to question if he’s slowly coming out, especially after a video of him saying “Be yourself. Be free baby” was shared online.
